The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset Launches October 9- Plus a Top 5 Giveaway!

There are certain things in motherhood that apparently regenerate overnight.

Laundry.

Dishes.

Crumbs.

The random pile of papers on the counter.

And, of course, the approximately 32 household details quietly living in your brain at any given moment.

You know the ones.

  • We’re almost out of toothpaste.
  • The library books are due.
  • Someone needs clean jeans tomorrow.
  • What am I making for dinner?
  • Did I ever schedule that appointment?
  • Why is there a single sock on the stairs?

That mental running list is exactly why I’ve been working on something new.

And tomorrow, I finally get to show you.

On Friday, October 9, I’m officially opening The Unscripted Home Library and launching its very first course:

The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset

Homemaking Reset info

And because apparently quietly launching something without turning it into a whole little event is not in my skill set, we’re also kicking things off with a Top 5 Launch Giveaway inside The Unscripted Mom Collective.

So grab your coffee, reheated coffee, forgotten coffee, or whatever stage of coffee you are currently in.

Here’s everything happening.

The Launch Schedule

There are two big times to remember on Friday, October 9.

8:00 AM EST- The Launch Giveaway Opens

The official giveaway post will go live inside The Unscripted Mom Collective at 8 AM Eastern.

That post will contain the complete entry instructions, ways to participate, and everything you need to know to qualify.

The giveaway will remain open through: Monday, October 12 at 3:00 PM EST

So you’ll have the entire weekend to participate.

Then I’ll verify the qualifying entries and determine our Top 5 winners.

But the giveaway is only the beginning.

3:00 PM EST- The Unscripted Home Library Opens

At 3 PM Eastern on Friday, I’ll officially take The Unscripted Home Library out of draft mode.

That means members will finally be able to see the little space I’ve been secretly working on.

And the first course waiting inside will be The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset.

I am ridiculously excited about this part.

What Is The Unscripted Home Library?

I wanted to create something different from a giant course library where you log in, see 84 hours of content, immediately become overwhelmed, and quietly back away. 😂

The Unscripted Home Library is a growing collection of short, practical courses for the parts of home and mom life that feel heavier than they should.

  • The laundry that never ends.
  • The “What’s for dinner?” question.
  • The paper pile.
  • The routines that work beautifully for approximately four days before disappearing.
  • The mental load.
  • The home systems you know need help but never seem important enough to justify completely reorganizing your life.

Each course will focus on one problem at a time.

That’s important.

You do not need to start at the beginning of the Library.

You do not need to complete every course.

This isn’t a curriculum.

Think of it more like a shelf.

Something in your home is driving you bonkers?

You pull down the course that helps with that particular problem.

You work through it.

And you use what helps.

Then you go live your life.

That’s the whole idea.

Meet the First Course: The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset

The first course inside the Library tackles something I think a lot of us experience:

Why does keeping up with the house require SO MUCH mental energy?

And I want to make one thing very clear.

This is not a course about having a perfect home.

It is not a strict cleaning schedule.

It is not a complicated homemaking system with 17 color-coded categories.

And I will not be asking you to wake up at 5 AM, deep-clean your refrigerator before breakfast, and begin every morning by joyfully folding fitted sheets.

If that is your thing, I salute you.

It is absolutely not what we are doing here.

The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset is about creating a home that takes a little less energy to run.

We’re Looking for Friction, Not Failure

One of the biggest ideas behind this course is that when something repeatedly isn’t working, the answer isn’t always:

“I need to try harder.”

Sometimes the better question is:

“Why does this keep being difficult?”

That is household friction.

Maybe everyone drops their shoes in the same spot even though the shoe organizer lives three rooms away.

Or Maybe mail enters your house but apparently has no known final destination.

Maybe laundry gets washed perfectly well but spends the next six business days living in baskets.

Maybe your evening routine has twelve steps and by Step 4 you’re already over it.

Instead of treating those things like personal failures, we look at the system.

What keeps happening?

Why?

And what is the smallest useful change we could make?

That’s much more interesting to me than trying harder to maintain a system that clearly doesn’t fit your family.

You’ll Build Flexible Home Rhythms

Another thing I wanted to avoid was building routines that only work in Ideal Life™.

You know Ideal Life.

Nobody gets sick.

Nobody wakes up late.

Nothing unexpected happens.

Everyone eats what you planned for dinner.

You have the exact same amount of energy every day.

And nobody announces at 8:42 PM that they need something important tomorrow morning.

Sounds lovely.

Never met her. 😂

Real families need routines with some give in them.

So throughout The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset, you’ll think about what a routine looks like on:

A normal day.

A busy day.

And maybe most importantly…

A low-energy day.

Because one of the ideas woven throughout the course is:

A smaller version still counts.

Your normal kitchen reset might involve several things.

Your low-energy reset might be:

Load the dishwasher.

Clear enough counter space for breakfast.

Walk away.

Done.

That doesn’t mean your routine failed.

It means your routine adapted.

And if a system can adapt when life changes, you’re far more likely to come back to it.

We’re Trying Tiny Experiments, Not Giant Overhauls

I also didn’t want this course to become one more place where you leave with a giant to-do list.

You do not need 26 new habits by Monday.

Instead, we’re treating changes like tiny experiments.

You try something.

You see what happens.

Did it make life easier?

Great. Keep it.

Did it almost work?

Adjust it.

Did the entire family hate it?

Congratulations. We learned something. 😂

Throw it out.

There is no homemaking rule that says once you decide on a routine, you must remain loyal to it until retirement.

Your home changes.

Your family changes.

Then Your schedule changes.

Your energy changes.

Your systems are allowed to change too.

There’s Also a Plan for When Life Goes Completely Sideways

This was non-negotiable for me.

I don’t just want to help you create systems for decent weeks.

I want you to know what happens when the week goes off the rails.

That might mean:

  • Meals become simpler.
  • Cleaning shrinks.
  • Laundry waits.
  • Routines switch to their minimum versions.
  • Anything unnecessary gets temporarily dropped.

Instead of thinking:

“I’m behind on everything.”

You start asking:

“What actually needs attention right now?”

And then:

“What can wait?”

Those are very different questions.

Homemaking Reset companion

The Course Comes With a Companion Workbook and Planner

I did not want to create a course where you watch a lesson, nod along, think “That makes sense,” and then go directly back to doing everything the exact same way.

We’ve all done that.

I wanted something more practical.

So The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset includes companion resources designed to help you apply the lessons to your actual home.

The workbook helps you reflect on what is happening, identify patterns, and think through what might need to change.

The planner helps you turn those decisions into something usable.

You’ll be able to work through ideas like:

  • what is currently creating friction
  • what “good enough” looks like in your season
  • what can stay imperfect
  • what routines need smaller versions
  • what you can delegate, delay, or completely drop
  • what you want to experiment with this week
  • what your home actually needs from you right now

The point isn’t to give you more paperwork.

The point is to help you finish a lesson knowing:

“Okay. I know what I’m going to try.”

Founder Pricing Starts October 9

When The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset officially opens at 3 PM ET on Friday, October 9, it will launch with special Founder Pricing.

October 9–19: $19

Then the price increases.

October 20–31: $29

And beginning:

November 1: $39

The founder version is not a watered-down version of the course.

You’re simply getting the lower price because you’re joining while this new part of Unscripted Mom Life is just getting started.

If you already know this sounds like something you need, the founder period will be the least expensive time to join.

There will also be an option to upgrade to VIP for moms who want deeper access to the resources I’m building inside the community.

And speaking of VIP…

We’re Celebrating With a Top 5 Launch Giveaway!

I wanted the opening weekend to feel like a real event.

So instead of giving away one little prize and calling it a day, I decided we should have five winners.

Because apparently I enjoy creating extra work for myself.

Here’s what is currently up for grabs.

  • 1st Place FREE VIP access
  • 2nd Place FREE VIP access
  • 3rd Place The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset FREE + 25% off VIP
  • 4th Place The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset FREE + 20% off VIP

You’ll need to be a member of the community to participate.

So if you’re reading this before the giveaway opens, I highly recommend joining now rather than waiting until tomorrow and trying to find everything while clutching your coffee at 8:01 AM.

Inside the official giveaway post, I’ll share all of the final rules and entry instructions.

Some of the requirements include following Unscripted Mom Life on Instagram and Facebook, sharing the giveaway, and participating through the community.

If you have a private social account, you’ll be able to use a screenshot when needed for verification.

The complete instructions will be waiting in the community when the giveaway opens.

Who Is This Course For?

The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset might be for you if…

You constantly feel like you’re catching up at home.

Your routines keep disappearing after a few days.

You spend a ridiculous amount of mental energy remembering household details.

You’ve tried complicated home systems that looked wonderful online and made absolutely no sense once real people entered the house.

You want your home to feel calmer but don’t want maintaining that calm to become another job.

You have days when your energy is low and need routines that can shrink instead of completely collapse.

You’re tired of thinking you should be doing more.

Or maybe you simply want to feel like your home supports your life instead of constantly demanding something from you.

You are exactly who I had in mind while creating this.

What This Course Is NOT

I think this part matters just as much.

This is not about becoming the perfect homemaker.

  • It is not about having a spotless house.
  • It is not about never getting behind.
  • It is not about copying my routine.
  • It is not about completing everything.
  • It is not about turning your home into another productivity project.
  • And it definitely is not about making a house look like nobody actually lives there.

Your house is allowed to look lived in.

People live there.

That’s sort of the whole point.

What Are We Actually Trying to Create?

Not perfection.

Not control.

And Not a home that looks ready for a magazine photographer to arrive without warning.

We’re trying to create something much more useful:

A kitchen you can reset without spending your whole evening on it.

A routine you can return to after a rough week.

A plan for the days when you have almost nothing left.

Fewer recurring household problems.

Less stuff sitting in your brain waiting to be remembered.

More participation from the people who actually live in the house.

A little more breathing room.

And maybe the ability to sit down at the end of the day without mentally scanning every room for evidence that you haven’t done enough.

That sounds much better to me.

One Last Thing Before We Open the Doors

I keep coming back to one thought while building all of this:

Your home is supposed to support the people who live inside it.

You are not supposed to spend every available ounce of energy maintaining the house.

Sometimes the goal isn’t:

How do I finally keep up with everything?

Maybe the better question is:

How can everything require less keeping up with?

That’s what I want us to explore inside The Good-Enough Homemaking Reset.

  • Not a perfect house.
  • Not a perfect routine.
  • Not a perfect mom.

Just a home rhythm that works a little better for the life you’re actually living.

I’ll see you inside The Unscripted Mom Collective tomorrow morning at 8 AM ET for the giveaway…

…and then at 3 PM ET, we’re opening the doors.
