Word(less) Wednesday
Word(less) Wednesday
Each week, I choose one word that captures something I’ve been learning, feeling, or simply noticing in my everyday life as a mom.
These One Word(less) Wednesday reflections are my way of slowing down- of giving thoughts room to breathe.

WORTHY
The Webster’s definition of worthy is:
“having worth or value; deserving of respect, attention, or affection.”
That one word carries so much weight.
Especially for moms.
Somewhere between the endless to-do lists, the dishes, the laundry, and the late-night worries, it’s easy to forget that we are already enough.
We start tying our worth to what we accomplish- or what we fail to and we miss the truth sitting quietly underneath it all.
- You are not worthy because of what you get done.
- You are not worthy because you hold it all together.
- You are worthy simply because you are.
That truth brings me back to the quote, “I think, therefore, I am.”
Descartes may have meant it as a declaration of existence, but I think it whispers something deeper when you hold it up to motherhood.
We are worthy because we exist.
Because we think, love, feel, nurture, and create- even when no one notices.
Even when our hair’s a mess, our house is loud, and our patience is thin.
Worthiness is not something to be earned; it’s something to remember.
Being a mom is full of seasons where you question your value- when you feel invisible, unseen, or not enough.
But you are the heartbeat of your home.
You bring warmth, creativity, laughter, structure, and love to everything you touch.
The world doesn’t need you to prove your worth; it needs you to believe in it.
So, this week, take a breath and remind yourself:
- You are worthy of rest.
- You are worthy of joy.
- You are worthy of love- just as you are, right here, in this moment.
Because the truth is, you’ve always been worthy.
You just needed a little stillness to remember.
“I think, therefore, I am… and because I am, I am worthy.”

Worthiness doesn’t come from perfection- it comes from presence.
From showing up, repeatedly, with love, even when it’s hard.
Let this week’s One Word(less) reflection be your reminder to hold your head high and honor your own light.
Take a few moments today to write or reflect on what makes you feel worthy- not because of what you do, but because of who you are.
Then share your thoughts or your own Unscripted Writing Prompt in the comments.
Your story might be exactly what another mom needs to feel worthy, too.
